We’ve been busy here at Casamatic, expanding our service and our team. We’re now live in seven cities (Cincinnati, Chicago, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, Nashville & Columbus), we’ve brought on a new web designer (plus an intern), and we have some really cool stuff in the works. Today, we’d like to introduce Caitlin and Kile, who may have had the most seamless home buying experience of them all.
When did you start looking for a home?
We didn’t have an official start to looking for a home but about a year ago I heard about Casamatic and thought I should sign up for it knowing that in the next couple years we would want to purchase a house. Being an interior designer, I always have my eye out for unique homes and spaces with great potential.
What were some of the important factors you were looking for in a home?
The most important factor for Kile and I is proximity to downtown. We both work downtown and are used to living within walking distance of work so we knew that any commute was going to be an adjustment. Coming from apartment living, we really wanted to have outdoor space, ideally large enough for a garden.

Before Casamatic, what was your home buying experience like?
Casamatic put us in what seems to be a really rare experience for other homeowners. We got the first house we put an offer on.
What did you think of the homes Casamatic sent you?
Casamatic sent me great homes all the time. It was like having my own best friend/realtor combo in my pocket! It didn’t just send me homes in my price range, but it sent gorgeous homes with incredible potential, each one with better details than the last.

What was your favorite feature of Casamatic?
For me, the best part about Casamatic is the feel you get of the neighborhood the home is located in. Sure, other sites can tell you what school district you’re in but if you love pizza, Casamatic can tell you that there are amazing pizzerias within walking distance. The fact that you can customize your profile to the activities you do and what you like to eat is unlike any other website to find a home on.

I was so surprised how well Casamatic knew us. With so little information it can give high quality matches.
Once you found the house, what did you do next?
While at lunch on a Saturday afternoon I showed Kile a home that seemed to fit absolutely everything we wanted and we decided we just had to see it. The process of getting a showing through Casamatic was so simple. We requested a showing the next morning and our matched realtor, Missy, texted me within minutes saying she would meet us there. The process was seamless.

How do you feel now? What’s next for you?
Our new home is absolutely perfect and we can’t believe that the process was so easy with Casamatic. Now that we are settled in we are looking forward to starting our garden and renovating our very dated pink and mint green bathroom.
